Virginia State Scholarship Fund (V.S.S.F.)
This fund provides a minimum of $1,500 scholarships to women who are domiciled in Virginia to attend an accredited Virginia school of higher education. Funds for V.S.S.F. are contributed by Virginia P.E.O. Chapters and individuals. The number of scholarships awarded each year is based on the contributions to the V.S.S.F. each year.
This application applies to the 2023 – 2024 academic year (fall 2023 and spring 2024). All applications must be postmarked by February 15, 2023.
Virginia Cottey College Scholarship Fund (V.C.C.S.F.)
Cottey College is a liberal arts college for women in Nevada, MO. V.C.C.S.F. offers scholarships to Cottey College students who are domiciled in Virginia. The maximum amount is $2,500 for freshmen and sophomores and $3,000 for juniors and seniors. Up to three renewals may be awarded. Funds for V.C.C.S.F. are contributed by Virginia P.E.O. Chapters and individuals.
This application applies to the 2023 – 2024 academic year (fall 2023 and spring 2024). Freshman Scholarship applications must be postmarked within 30 days following the acceptance and decision to attend Cottey College. Virginia Cottey College Scholarship applications for all other students must be postmarked by February 15, 2023.

Can a student receive a Virginia Cottey College Scholarship more than once?
Yes, a recipient is eligible for up to three renewals if she continues to meet the eligibility requirements and is recommended for renewal by the registrar and Vice President For Student Life at Cottey College. This is not an automatic process; the student must apply for the scholarship again.
When are applications due?
Freshman and Transfer student applications must be postmarked within thirty days following the acceptance and decision to attend Cottey College.
All other applications must be postmarked by February 15th of each year.
