We SUPPORT women's EDUCATION by helping them achieve their dreams and aspirations to improve their lives, the lives of their families and their communities through scholarships, grants, awards, loans and the stewardship of Cottey College; and we are there for each other with LOVING CONCERN.

Who We Are
P.E.O.s are women of all ages, from all walks of life, diverse in the strengths they bring while united in a shared passion to educate women, strongly believing that doing so will make the world a better place for us all. Friendship and support of each other is the cornerstone of P.E.O. - it is the legacy of our seven young Founders over 150 years ago on the campus of Iowa Wesleyan College, Mount Pleasant, Iowa.
Today, with an active membership of almost 240,000 women, P.E.O. offers the gifts of friendship, love, service and philanthropy that flourish in our unique sisterhood.
