What is V.C.C.S.F.?

V.C.C.S.F. is the Virginia Cottey College Scholarship Fund.

What is the maximum value of a scholarship provided by the V.C.C.S.F?

Freshmen and sophomores receive a $2,500 maximum scholarship; this amount increases to $3,000 for juniors and seniors.

How is the V.C.C.S.F. funded?

By contributions from Virginia P.E.O. Chapters and individuals to the V.C.C.S.F. The money is awarded according to funds available and the number of applicants.

Can high school seniors be awarded a V.C.C.S.F. Scholarship?

Yes, the V.C.C.S.F. Scholarships may be awarded to high school seniors.

What are the qualifications for the Virginia Cottey College Scholarship?

Can a student receive a Virginia Cottey College Scholarship more than once?

Yes, a recipient is eligible for up to three renewals if she continues to meet the eligibility requirements and is recommended for renewal by the registrar and Vice President For Student Life at Cottey College. This is not an automatic process; the student must apply for the scholarship again.

When are applications due?

Freshman and Transfer student applications must be postmarked within thirty days following the acceptance and decision to attend Cottey College.

All other applications must be postmarked by February 15th of each year.
